ADC12D1600CCMPR

I am using TI part ADC12D1600CCMPR in a design for A to D conversion. I powered up my board and due to a design error, 1.9V was applied directly to the lid (which should be GND) of ADC12D1600CCMPR for about 5 to 10 mins. Now it seems the part is not responsive. Will that destroy the ADC12D1600CCMPR part? What are the consequences?

    However, based on your comments, I will say that it is possible that the device is damaged, but it is also possible that you have damaged some other component or even the board itself. It may depend on the amount of sourcing current available from the 1.9V supply and how you have the ground hooked up to the remainder of the circuit. However, if the device is non-responsive, I'd generally try to replace the component and start again.

    As delivered, the lid of the ADC12D1600CCMPR is floating. Applying 1.9V to the lid should not cause a problem.

    If you had the lid externally grounded and then applied 1.9V to the lid, this would be the same as applying 1.9V to your ground plane, which could possibly damage the part.
