ADS1220 Vref value for bipolar input measurement

Hi,

I would like to use ADS1220 in one of my single ended bipolar voltage measurement application which ranges from +2v to -2V.

Can i use the internal Vref of 2.048V to measure the above input?

AVDD and AVSS are +2.5V and -2.5V respectively,

DVDD is 3.3V

Hi Kiran,

Yes, that usage will work as long as long as the PGA is disabled to meet the common-mode restrictions when measuring -2V.

Hi Kiran,

I need to update my answer. Your usage will work with either PGA disabled or PGA enabled using a gain of 1. I tried to do the calculation for common-mode in my head and I made a mistake. Brain processing overload I guess.
