Boimpedance measurements using AFE4300EVM

You can go as low as 100 ohms and as high as 1kohms. On our EVM we have a reference resistor block that you can use. R56-R59 are the reference resistors. Please refer to the User's Guide for more information.

May I use external reference resistance for calibration. If, yes what is the procedure for the same?

To measure the bioimpedance, What kind of electrodes are suitable for bioimpedance measurement and on which port the connection to these electrodes may be established?

There are basically 3 options for calibration:

1. Using R56 through R59 as I explained in my previous post using our on-board resistors. This can give you a 4 point calibration if needed
2. You can remove our calibration resistors and put your own in the place of R56 through R59 and have either a 2 point or 4 point calibration.
3. You can place 2 resistors separately in the IOUT0 to IOUT1 terminal and do the calculation.

1. What kind of electrodes are suitable for bioimpedance measurement?
2. At what location, the connection to these electrodes may be established on AFE4300EVM Board?

1. We have used electrodes similar to omron's here: www.amazon.com/.../B0037AXFVQ

2. They will go across IOUT terminals and VSENSE terminals.

That is correct. It is the same material. If you don't have a contact for metal or stainless steel, you can buy this and just remove the electrodes.
