How serious is the company about this part? It seems very surprising that the dev board info is by request only, compatibility with Xilinx boards in not guaranteed, etc. Is this part recommended for new designs or is there some other reason why info is so restricted? A multichannel device with JESD interfacing sounds like exactly what people would need, not sure why there's such a limited effort in getting engineers involved with it.

There are only certain things that you need access to from us. The majority of what you will need is on the product folder that is publicly available. The development kit is available to purchase online, the full datasheet, User's Guide, and GUI are also available.

Thank you for getting back to me. There might be a disconnect, if so I hope you can set me straight.

There are two major FPGA companies in the world who make popular base boards for customer applications. TI doesn't make the ADS52J90ADV accessible to at least one of them - Xilinx - because:

1. An FMC connector is required for interfacing. Does the ADS52J90ADV have one? A schematic would help with this, but strangely it's not available. The user's guide does not seem to talk about interfacing much.

2. The FMC pinout needs to match the VITA standard and popular Xilinx demo boards such as the KC705 and VC707. Again, a schematic would easily answer this for all customers, but it's not available. Very surprising considering how open TI usually is with this... If I'm completely off base and the PDF I'm looking for is in an obvious place, please accept my apologies!

The canned demos are great, but there's no schematic showing how the hardware should be built and the ADC designed with. I can't ship the TI carrier card and GUI with my product!

The altium database is not publicly available for either device. The details of the AFE58JD16 are covered only under an NDA. The ADS52J90 has the User's guide and full datasheet available on the product folder.

For details on the hardware configurations and applications, I will need to direct those to the applications engineer who is assigned to this thread. He is on travel this week, so please expect delays in his response.

The EVM has an FMC and meets the Vita standard. It will mate with the Xilinx cards, but has not been verified to work with them yet. One thing to watch is the JESD lane mapping. ADs52J90 has data on lanes 1,3,5,7 in 4 lane mode. As for the sch, have you requested access to the material with the product page button? We can provide the schematics this way.
