ADS1248 leakage current

Hi,

I would like to ask you a question about the leakage current.

There are 2 specifications about the input current on the datasheet, "Differencial" and "Absolute", as below.

But i suppose that there is no specification about the "leakage"  current.

Can I understand that the leakage current value is included to both input currents' value due to it's very small, correct?

If no, do you have the data of the current?

Thank you for your support.

Best Regards,

  • Hi,

I'm sorry I have not gotten the answer yet.

Could you kindly support my question?

    Regards,

  • Takumi-san,

First, I've moved this post to the Precision Data Converter Forum. I don't look through the Precision Amplifiers Forum very often and I'm glad you were able to message me about this posting.

I wasn't able to find any specific values for input leakage. However, I believe that that input leakage is moderately small compared to the input current. I found at least one measurement that shows the input current over temperature. The current is relatively constant from -40°C to 85°C. From 85°C to 125°C the current adds another 1nA from the original value. This change in current was relatively the same from 20SPS to 640SPS data rate.

I'll check to see if there's any more data, but I would guess that the typical input leakage may add another 1nA of current.

  • Joseph-san,

Thank you very much for your reply.
And I'm sorry that I posted this question to different Forum...sorry.
    I appreciated your kindness.

    Best Regards,
  • Takumi-san,

It is not a problem that the post was to the wrong forum. Most of the time, one of the engineers from the other forum will move the post to the correct forum to make sure that it gets an answer. I will often move posts from this forum. Perhaps the Precision Amplifier Forum monitors missed the question.

Regardless, I'm glad that I could be of help. If you have any other questions, please feel free to post back.
