Hi TI experts,

I tried to install USB driver for EVM, but could not find the device in device manager.

It did show up ago. When I used the AFE GUI to update the firmware, the the log show: large errase ... memory error. Then the connection failed and the device did not show up in the device manager.

Urgent for help. Thanks!

Another information is :

I found a new 'USB input device' in the 'human interface devices' whenever I pluged in the EVM board.

And when I tried to install the driver 'AFE44x0.inf' from TI, the error showed that ' the driver is not compatablie for x64-based system'.

Any help, greatly appreciated!

Hello Qi,

Based on your post, it seems like when the firmware was updated, there was a memory error during erase and the firmware was not updated and this is causing the COM port issue.

Follow Section 7 of the document (link below) to update the firmware without using the GUI.

The procedure is the same for the AFE4490 EVM and AFE4490 Device GUI as well.
