Hello,

For a prototype, I am using the DAC37J82 with the LMK.

I was wondering if there was a way to use the GUI directly with my board. I mean, could we break the DAC3XJ8X GUI and use a different communication interface (I2C or RS485)? Are the registers writen in a temp file or so? It will help to save time because reprogramming an interface is time consuming.

Hi Chris,

The GUI talk to DAC37J82 EVM via the FTDI chip on the EVM board. The FTDI chip bit-bang the SPI interface and control the DAC. if your board does not have FTDI chip then the GUI won't work.

Thank you for your quick reply. Well, I understood that but could TI provide an "uncompiled" form of the GUI so I can adapt it to match the uc on my board?

Hi Chris,

Please see attached zip file for the DAC38j84 SPI utilities. The instructions are in the powerpoint file. You will need Labview 2014 installed in order to open up the file.Please note that we cannot provide further support regarding the Labview codes or software integration. Good luck.

Hello Neeraj,
Thanks for what you sent me yesterday.
After checking the files, unfortunately, it is not what I need. If it is possible, I would like the vis that does the user GUI (DAC3XJ8X GUI v1.1) with all the buttons so I dont have to change user GUI interface regarding the TI one.
I am using a different communication process with my uc. If possible, the only thing I need is the GUI interface with all the buttons.
