ADS1278 Evaluation Module : How to interface it with Raspberry Pi in SPI mode

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1278, ADS1278EVM-PDK

Hi,

I want to capture 2 analog signals (say voltage and current) simultaneously using ADS1278 evaluation module and send it to Raspberry Pi via SPI interfacing. I need to capture the signals continuously and at highest possible SPS.

However, as I don't have much experience in handling ADS1278 evaluation module, it would be of great help if someone can help me with the configuration of ADS1278 EM and how to interface it with Raspberry Pi.

Thanks,

Regards,

Debashish

  • Hello Debashish,

Thank you for your interest in the ADS1278!

Our ADS1278EVM-PDK is not intended to be used with other processors. Instead, the platform is intended for you to become familiar with the device performance and features, using the provided MMB0 motherboard and software. You may interface the daughterboard to your Raspberry PI, but you will have to write your own software to do so. I'm not familiar with the Raspberry Pi, so I cannot offer much more help there. Make sure that you do share power and ground between the two boards and that all SPI signals are operating at the same voltage level (otherwise, use a level translator).

If you need more information about the ADS1278EVM-PDK daughterboard, please refer to the User Guide: .

    Best Regards,
