External load for 3.3v of MMB0

During our prototyping with ADS1274EVM-PDK kit we want to use 3.3 voltage source of MMB0 for additional load of ~20ma.

Is it acceptable for MMB0 3.3v source? What is part number of this source? What is average current load for MMB0 3.3v source for this kit?

Thank you very!

Reuven.

  • Reuven,

The 3.3V source from the MMB0 comes from a TPS70302. You can find extra information about the device here:

    http://focus.ti.com/docs/prod/folders/print/tps70302.html

I'm not sure what amount of current this LDO is sourcing for the MMB0, I do know that the ADS1274EVM-PDK will require somewhere between 300 to 500mA for the 5V source (which is used for the LDO).

However, this part is designed to take fairly high loads, and using an extra 20mA shouldn't be a problem.
