Hello Experts,

Does ADS1262 support SPI broadcast?

I have multiple ADS1262 device on SPI bus, and I would like to send commands ( START1, STOP2) and new ADS1263_ADR_INPMUX register value for every ads on the bus. Can I achieve this by taking all CS pins to low and issue one SPI transaction?

Hi Daniel,

The ADS1262 does not support an SPI broadcast mode. The problem with trying to broadcast a command to multiple devices is that the DOUT pins are connected together and not in the high impedance state; therefore, this can cause a contention on the SPI bus.

Is your goal to try and synchronize the conversions of multiple ADS1262s? The best way to do this is to use a common GPIO signal connected to the START pins of each device.
