DAC7750 About SPI Shift Register

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DAC7750, DAC8750

Hi,

I have a question about SPI Shift Register at DAC7750.
SPI frame is described In datasheet page 23.

I think that this is for DAC8750.
I think that it is 20-bit input frame consists of an 8-bit address and 12-bit data word for DAC7750.
Is it correct?

Best regards,
Shimizu

  • Shimizu-san,

The frame is recycled from the DAC8750. I understand that it is not clear. I will add this note so that we can fix it in a later revision of the datasheet.

In order to use the DAC7750, you must still use the 24-bit SPI frame. The last 16-bits will be the data, including 4 'don't care' bits at positions 3:0

    Data bits: DDDDDDDDDDDDXXXX

This is mentioned in the footnotes of page 35 of the DAC7750 datasheet.
