ADS5294EVM power supply problem

I bought ADS5294 EVM + FMC-ADC adapter to interface with Xilinx (Nexys Video board). I connected +5V to P1 connector (according to instruction in manual, pg-7) of the ADS5294 EVM. According to the manual, there are 4-LEDs should have turn ON. Unfortunately, Only 2-LEDs are becoming ON (+5V & 3.3V). 1.8VA & 1.8VD is kept OFF. 

Unfortunately, I am not getting any signal from LVDS output at xilinx I/O terminal. I am suspecting something wrong with power supply of the ADS5294EVM module. 

I am waiting for your kind help.

    How are you?

    Thanks for using ADS5294EVM.

    As you can see from the ADS5294EVM user's guide from TI website, for testing ADS5294 device,

    we link ADS5294 EVM with TSW1400 EVM together.

    So we will describe how to run ADS5294 device according to the above connections.

    1) Please check all the jumpers on ADS5294EVM and make sure all connections are right:

    (Note: in this case, you are using on-board OSC as the clock input for ADS5294 device.

    So you don't need any external clock connection.)

    2) Please check +5V Power supply connection for ADS5294 EVM:

    3) If you only can see:

    LED33VA => ON

    LED_+5V => ON

    other two LEDs are not ON, that is Ok!

    because we measure Jumpers for (1.8VA and 1.8VD):

    measured JP6 => we got 1.8V => correct !

    measure JP5 => we got 1.8V => correct !

    4) And then we started to follow the user's guide to run ADS5294 GUIs:

    (Note: Please Click all the following checked options as below to enable the ADS5294 Registers.)

    5) And then we continued to run TSW1400 GUI,

    here we can capture digital data coming from ADS5294EVM to TSW1400 board.

    So please check on your FMC adapter and your Xilinx board connection pins

    to see if you can detect ADS5294 device sending out LCLK_OUT+/- , ADCLK_OUT+/- , CHxOUT+/-

    signals from LVDS output pins.

  • Hello Chen,

    I went through schematic of ADS5294EVM. In schematic (4 of 9), green LED is connected with 332ohm resistor in series. But I know, green LED typical operating condition is 2.0V@20mA. I noticed that its illumination is very low, cant see it. Is it design lagging? User might be confused.

    For your kind information, the board is working so far with default settings.

    Yes, one easy way is to reduce 332ohm value to smaller value to make it lighter.
    I will contact another engineer about this.
