Hi,

 

As the ADS8330 is under waiver #1168C does a new version (planned December 2009) is actually released or be soon avalaible with corrected bugs?

We actually use the ADS8330 in our design and be soon entering serial production.

    The new version ADS8330 is available now.  The new devices are marked ADS8330A.

    Hi Tom,

     

    Thanks for the news, very good for us.

    But we still need more information, on the ADS8330 website i can't see any part number with the A revision.

    How can we identified new version of the ADS8330, date code, package marking? and how can we be sure to purchase the new version too?

     

    We need also information on the updates made on the component, maybe a new datasheet we'll be released or some technical notes that explain how identified bugs have been solved and more important a proof that bugs were corrected...

    We we'll take every documents you can send to us.

    Hi Nicolas,

    The actual device marking has an 'A' appended to it, printed on the top side of the package, there is no difference in the orderable part number.  The old devices were purged from our inventory and distribution channels, so any new orders placed should get you the new silicon.

    I will send you the details of the changes made later this afternoon.
