Can you use an LVDS Frame Grabber with AFE's such as the AFE 5801 or LM98725 to capture their output or do you have to use either the eval boards (during eval stages) or an design in an FPGA with the AFE

Hi Derek,
How are you?
If you are using AFE5801EVM, please look at the AFE5801EVM Evaluation Module
and then please look at the User guides at
AFE5801 8-Channel Varable Gain Ampl w/Octal High-Speed ADC (Rev. B)
You can see we connect our AFE5801EVM to TSW1400EVM (fpga inside) through a board adapter.
Thanks and best regards,
Chen
Hi Derek,
Thanks for using AFE5801EVM with TSW1400EVM.
AFE5801 device output includes Bit Clock, Frame Clock, and LVDS Output Data (Bit by Bit).
inside TSW1400 is fpga Altera Stratix which can capture the above signals and
convert the captured data and save into the memory RAM on TSW1400EVM.
Please need to make sure if your Frame Grabber can capture high speed Bit Clock sent out by AFE5801.
The Bit Clock Freq max = 6 * 65MHz speed.
Since we are only using fpga to acquire high speed data, unfortunately we don't support the PC capture card.
Thanks for using AFE5801 device!
Best regards,
Chen
