Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DAC081C081

Dear Sirs

For slave address of DAC081C081,

Why  DAC081C081 has two slave address when ADR0 is floating (SOT package)?

What is the slave address (0001100 or 1000110) when ADR0 is floating (SOT package)?

Nat

  • Hi Nat,

The DAC will respond to either address. This information is needed if you are using more than 1 device on the I2C bus. When using the part, if there are other devices on the I2C bus, make sure that they do not have either of these addresses. For example, if you are writing to the DAC with address 0001100 and you have another device with address 1000110 and you write to the second device the DAC will try to respond and a conflict will happen.
