Hi all:
I need a hand with Wave Vision 5 software. Does anyone know if it is possible to have two active channels sampling simultaneously?
Thank you,
Casey

Hi Josh:
Either I do not understand your response, or you misunderstood my question. I do have two devices collecting data, but it is not simultaneous. I would like to have channel 1 (Device A) and channel 2 (Device B) both active at the same time, however I can not get them to be. For example if I am sampling a signal at 15 MHz through a splitter on both channels, starting with channel 1 as the active channel and then switch channel 2 to be active and turn off the signal generator, the spike remains on the plot for channel 1 and it is not actively sampling. I have attached an FFT plot to illustrate my point. I am also attaching an image of my options under signal source for your information.
Thanks,
Casey
Casey,
Perhaps I do not fully understand your setup. From your latest message, it appears that you are evaluating an ADC14155LFEB evaluation board. This has a single-channel ADC device, so I do not understand where the two separate channels are coming from. From my experience with the wavevision 5 data capture platform, your copmuter can only read from a single WaveVision 5 capture board at a time, and that board may usually read all the channels from a eval board it is connected to, simultaneously. But, I only see that your WV5 board is connected to an EVM with a single channel. Do I understand this correctly?
THanks, Josh
Casey,
To my knowledge, the WaveVIsion 5 software can only interact with one WaveVision 5 capture board at a time, so I do not believe that it is possible to capture from both boards simultaneously.
