ADS1000-Q1 no ACK from i2c

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1000-Q1

Hi There,

My customer is running the ADS1000-Q1 from 2.8V. However the i2c address does not appear to ACK. Other devices running off the bus are operating as expected. The customer is yet to try a bus interrogation to the check the address is correct, so this is still an option.

I am in the process of obtaining some scope shots to see if the MCU timing is array etc.

I am keen to understand from experts more familiar with this part if there could be something else we have not taken into consideration here?

Kind regards,

Ross

  • Hell Ross,

    Thank you for your query.

    2.8V supply should be ok.

What is the size of pull-ups and what is the I2C bus speed?

Also, ADS1000-Q1 come are offered in two different addresses identified by package markings and orderable name. Please make sure the correct address is used.

I would also verify that we meet the timing requirements as specified in the 6.6 Timing Requirements section in datasheet.

I would try to readout a register and see if the device sends back anything.

A scope shot will definitely help us to debug the issue further. A schematic (even a partial schematic) will help too.

    Thanks,

    Krunal
