ADS1274 thermal pad floating?

Hi experts,

Can you leave the thermal pad of ADS1274/8 floating or will the performance decrease (noise coupling into the floating thermal pad, any other drawback apart worse thermal power dissipation). Heat dissipation won't be an issue as operation in low power mode might be used.

    Hi KKF,

    While the thermal pad of the ADS1274 is not electrically connected to the die, I would still think that it's best to not leave it floating, even if thermal dissipation is not a concern for the application. We don't have any data to show the difference in performance of the device when the thermal pad is not connected.
