DAC38J82 Datasheet clarifications needed

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DAC38J82, DAC38J84

Hello Team,

We received the below questions from one of our customers on the DAC38J82 device:

The datasheet does not clearly define what is meant by a lane, a link, and a path.  Is there a document that explains these terms clearly?

For example, in the SerDes and Lane Configuration panel of the GUI, what does the "Which Link" index mean? According to the help message, there are 4 "links" available.  In our configuration, we want to use two JESD lanes to create one digital signal and another two JESD lanes to create another digital signal.  Should we use two links, for example link0 and link1?  Is the correct setup like this:

Lane ID     Which RX     Which Link
RX0        0                0                 0
RX1        1                1                 0
RX2        2                2                 1
RX3        3                3                 1

Is it correct that after the input mux, the two digital signals in our DAC38J82 are called "paths"?

We would be happy to read other documents if these questions are answered elsewhere.

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards,

Mo.
