ADS1241 BUFEN

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1241Who has priority in ADS1241E - BUFEN pin or bitBUFIN in the ACR ?
  • Mikhail,

I've split this post off into a separate thread. The last thread is too long to get through to find your post.

The ADS1241 describes the BUFEN this way:
"The buffer can be enabled using the BUFEN pin or the BUFEN bit in the ACR register. The buffer is on when the BUFEN pin is high and the BUFEN bit is set to one. If the BUFEN pin is low, the buffer is disabled. If the BUFEN bit is set to zero, the buffer is also disabled."

I believe from this explanation, the BUFEN pin and BUFEN bit is set up as an OR. If the pin or the bit is set high or both, then the buffer is enabled.

  • Thanks, Joseph. I think as. But the phrase from the description confuses.
If pin BUFEN is earthed, the register is switched - off.
And all. The similar phrase suggests about interconnection on "and".
