Hi all

I need a small size (approx 50mm by 150mm)  ADC card with atleast 16 analog channels on it. Each channel sampling rate must be 48 Ksamp/s/ch and ADC resolution must be 16-bit atleast. Further more this ADC card is needed to contineuosly send 16 channel digitized data on 10/100 Mb ethernet real time (without any delay) for further processings. Max Input  voltage range is +/- 3 V. In worst case a compromise can be made on sampling rate (min samp rate 15 Ksamp/s/ch)

I search a lot for such ADC card but could not find it so i think i have to design it myself. Using some TI ADC Ic and some ethernet module can it be possible to design such complicated adc card? Kindly help me to find a solution

    Hi Asim,

    We don't have anything 'off the shelf' with all the features you are looking from within our group.  We do have some 16 channel parts, but not with the 16-bit resolution and speed you are looking for.    You can get 16 channels and the resolution/speed you need by using two ADS1178 or two ADS1278 devices with their discrete output mode of operation.  If you can live with 12-bits, the ADS7953 may be of interest to you as well.
