AMC7812 AD conversion problem ?

Dear TI-er.

· End-application : Semiconductor ATE
· Detailed problem description : The EVM is operated with regular noise.
· What is your input signal : No input (CH0 & CH1)
· Supply voltages : 24Voltage to EVM
· Reference voltage : internal reference
· Input and reference drive circuits : EVM

What is the noise ?

Has the noise a bad effect on AD conversion ?

Plz help me.

  • Kiyoung SON,

The DAC8712 ADC input channels should be considered as high impedance input, so a input signal should be applied for you to see valid data.  Without a input signal the pins are floating, with the only "signal" being created by parasitic charges on the pins.  A good test would be to use some kinds of bench-top supply or even the output of 2 DAC channels as the input for the ADCs.

Let me know if you have any questions.
