ADS7924 / Need Awake Mode after power-up?

Hi,

I understand that we need to put ADS7924 into Awake Mode when switching between modes, but then can we also need to put it into Awake Mode after power-up? I don't find such description in datasheet, so I think Awake Mode is not needed after power-up.

    Hi Sonoki-san,

    If you refer to Figure 34 in the data-sheet, the device wakes up in Idle mode by default. Hence, it is necessary to set the device in Awake mode.

    Thank you for your response. I understand that the device is into Idle mode after power up. Then I would like to know if we can move to Auto-Scan mode from Idle mode without Awake mode. Or need to set Awake mode before Auto-Scan mode?

    Hi Sonoki-san,

    It is required to set the device in Awake mode when switching modes. This ensures internal digital logic is synchronized.
    Hence you will need to set the device in Awake mode before setting it in Auto-Scan mode.
