ADC342x SYSREF

Hello,

Is the SYSREF input signal considered as a LVDS signal or not ?

Thanks

Laurent

  • Hi Laurent
Most of the support team is out of office for the US Thanksgiving holiday. Someone will be able to respond to this early next week.
    Best regards,
    Jim B
  • Laurent,

I beleive that you can, but I will double check with the design team.

    Thanks,
    Dave
  • Hi Dave,

Did you check the signal type of the sysref ?

    thanks
  • Laurent,

I just received word back from the design team on SYSREF.  We will be updating the limits for SYSREF input to:

    Spec                          Min               Typ              Max          Unit

    Common Mode          0.7               0.95             1.3            V

    Diff Swing                  0.2                0.7              1.0            V

You should be able to connect SYSREF directly to a LVDS output (with 100 ohm termination at the end of the line) as long as you can keep the common mode less than 1.3V.  Please let me know if this answers your question.

    Thanks,

    Dave
