  • Hello Muhammad,

The ADS1298R is a simultaneously sampling, 8-channel, 24-bit, delta-sigma ADC (analog-to-digital converter). The device takes analog input, (in this case electrical signals from the heart), and converts them to digital codes at a predefined rate. The data can be retrieved from the device by a processor using the SPI interface. Subsequently it is up to the processor to display or interpret the data that is recieved from the ADC.

This device also has a great many features to assist in the capturing of ECG data. Please refer to the ADS1298R datasheet for a full and comprehensive summary of the behavior, performance, and functionality of the device. After reading this document, please let me know if you have any further questions regarding this device.
