    Hi Hong,

    Following are the parameters you should consider while selecting photo-diode(PD).
    1) PD should be linear for the selected wavelength of light. E.g if green LED is used, PD should be linear for green light within the expected signal current range.
    2) Capacitance presented by the PD should be within the limit of AFE's requirement. E.g for AFE4404 its between 10pF to 200pF (Look for "Detector capacitance" in datasheet).
    3) Sensitivity of PD when forward biased.
