Hello,

A few months ago I posted some questions in this thread (e2e.ti.com/.../2001631 in relation to the AFE4404

Among other things I asked about an interference problem when using the offset cancelation DAC. The problem could be reproduced by your team and was passed on to the design team.

Are there any news about this issue? Is it safe to use the AFE4404? We are trying to define the hardware of our product and I would like to know if f this interference phenomenom is a sign of some major problem.

Hi Alejandro,

We were able to replicate the issue, as well as find the root cause of it.
Currently we are working on a fix to this problem, once that is tested we will let you know.

Hi Alejandro,

Sorry for the delayed response.
The interference phenomenon you are seeing is due to design. Currently we have followings suggestions to mitigate this effect.
1) Increase the TIA bandwidth ( Lower the cf): As observed by you.
2) Increase the LED and SAMP pulse width.

Could you please tell me if this design issue is going to be fixed in a future revision of the AFE4404 or perhaps in another (equivalent) AFE model?

If so, could you please tell me the estimated release date of the new revision/model?

Actually we do have a device(AFE4405) with this issue fixed.
