ADS4449EVM: Is the HSMC bridge suitable for ADS4449EVM?

Dear Colleagues,

I have a Terasic Cyclone V starter kit that I would like to interface to the ADS4449EVM by means of the HSMC-ADC-BRIDGE.

However, in the file

www.ti.com/.../slab057.pdf

This development kit is not mentioned. I guess that it is because of a limit in the clock speed across the bridge. However, if I use a lower clock speed is it possible to use it anyway?

Hi Erik

The ADS4449 device and EVM have two 14-bit LVDS data buses.

The HSMC-ADC-BRIDGE and Terasic starter kit that you mention only support a single 16-bit LVDS data bus.

If you want to use that Terasic board and bridge card you will need to select an ADC EVM that has 16 or fewer LVDS pairs. I recommend selecting one of the EVMs listed in the document you referenced (http://www.ti.com/lit/ml/slab057/slab057.pdf).
