I have a MACOM M23564-14 that allows us to input 4K UHD video in. We are going to use the DAC38RF83 to translate that video into an analog signal.

The MACOM has a single LVDS input and a single LVDS output.

What can I put between the MACOM chip and the DAC38RF83 to get the data to the DAC38RF83 without using an FPGA?

We developing a high yield product for the television and motion picture business

That will likely take a product manager. Product is brand new. We are also considering this part for a new design as it looks like a good part / alternate to AD9164, and half the price.

Hi Randy,

There is no obvious way to connect the MACOM part to the DAC38RF83 (which has a JESD204B interface) without an FPGA.

I however will like to discuss this further with you offline if it may be possible to insert the DAC in a different part of the signal chain.
