ADS131A04EVM: Unable to identify device ADS131A04

I am trying to set up an application using the ADS131A04 EVM. I installed the Delta sigma ADC evaluation software, the device package for the part, verified that the drivers are intalled correctly and then tried connecting the EVM. I do not get the register map on the start up screen as mentioned in the user guide. I get an error - Unable to identify device ADS131A04 (screenshot attached) and then a message Hardware Connected Ready. (screenshot attached).

however, the GUI detects and shows the register map, if it is opened as administrator.

how can I enable the GUI to be opened and used by a non-admin user?

Would you mind sending over the file "...\DSEvalSW\Logs" for me to see exactly what is going on in the software?

Hi Brian

We figured out that the Devices package somehow was installed and available for access only to the administrator. (C:\Users\administrator\Documents\Devices). It was uninstalled from there and installed under my login. Now I am able to use the EVM. But now, the issue is that it can only be used by me and not by other users when they login to the lab test PC. What can be done to solve this?

Hello Rakhi,

Is there a "Public" directory where all users have write and read access? This is the first time we've dealt with this problem so I'm not sure if there is a solution. I will also consult with my colleagues here.
