ADS8528: Regarding DVDD supply

Hi,

Reference: Device Datasheet (www.ti.com/.../ads8568.pdf)

Under the recommended operating conditions (section 7.3) it is said that DVDD can vary from 2.7 Volt to 5.5 Volt. If I supply DVDD as 5.0 Volt will I get LOGIC 1 as 5.0 volt. Because my microcontroller (SPI master) is arduino uno whose logic level is 5.0 V for HIGH.

Hi Gosh,

The output logic levels are given by Voh and Vol levels.
For ADS8568, Voh is(DVDD-0.6V) (min) and (DGND+0.4V) (max).
Hence, the output voltage will be greater than 4.6V for logic 1 and less than 0.4V @5V DVDD.

You should ensure that these logic levels are within the Vih and Vil levels of the host.
