DAC3484EVM: Connection to a Xlinx Board

Hello,

I am doing a project using Xlinx Genesys 2 Kintex-7 FPGA, which comes with a high speed FMC header. And I would like to use ADC34J45EVM to work with the FPGA. Does the FPGA TI FMC to ADC Header Adapter Card perfectly match the FMC connector on the FPGA?

Ryan,

You could use the TI TSW14J10EVM to allow you to interface the ADC34J45EVM to a Xilinx KC705 and run the HSDC Pro GUI. See the attached document for an example of this. If the Genesys maps the required signals, you could take the provided firmware from the TSW14J10EVM product folder on the TI web, and recompile it to target the FPGA used on this board. This would allow you use HSDC Pro GUI. If you plan on using your own capture firmware/software, the TSW14J10EVM does pass all of the required JESD204B signals between the two boards. For more information, download the TSW14J10EVM User's Guide and board documents (schematics, BOM, ect...) from the TSW14J10EVM product folder on the TI website.

Thanks Jim. Actually I am planning to implement both DAC3484EVM and ADC34J45EVM with the Xilinx FPGA. Can I purchase one TI TSW14J10EVM and use it either on D to A converting or on A to D converting? Sorry for the confusion that the title tells DAC but the body is asking ADC.
Besides, the TSW14J10EVM seems nice but it's too expensive for an academic project. Is there any substitute in this case? Thank you.

I am so sorry. I was asking what type of FMC connector does the FMC-DAC-Adapter (www.ti.com/.../fmc-dac-adapter) and the FMC-ADC-Adaptor has? Is it HPC-FMC or LPC-FMC?
