    If you go to the ADS1147 datasheet, on page 7, there is a listing for absolute maximum ratings. There are two specifications to note.

    First, the maximum input current for any given pin will be 10mA continuous, but 100mA momentarily. However, I would also note that the absolute maximum voltage on the input pins is AVDD+0.3V. Regardless, over-stressing the device beyond either condition may damage the device.
