PGA411Q1EVM: PGA411EVM

Part Number: PGA411Q1EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PGA411-Q1

Hello,

is there also a PGA411-Q1 EVM GUI for Mac ?

  • Altug,

There is no PGA411-Q1 GUI for Mac; however, I will ask around to see if this is something we've supported in similar GUIs and if we could implement it for the PGA411. Is it an option to use a Windows based computer for your evaluation?

    Thanks,

    -Clancy
  • Hi Clancy,

i have the Option to use a Windows based Computer. My Problem is that i can't connect the PGA-Q1 EVM with the GUI anymore. It was possible for a while, but since 2 days it doesn't connect.

I consider the order in the users guide, i also reset many times the MCU , the LED USB_RDY is green and doesn't blink. The Connection is succesful, the only Problem is that i dont get the Revision number.

Is it possible to test the IC ?

    Thanks,

    Altug

  • Altug,

To start checking the PGA411-Q1 IC, you should monitor the following on an oscilloscope:

    1. Check all supplies and LDO outputs (VCC, VIO, VDD, VCOMAFE). I have seen the fuse on the PGA411 EVM blow before, so check that the device is getting power
    2. When the USB cable is plugged in, the PGA411 should start working. Monitor the OEx outputs to see the sinusoidal waveforms. Try toggling NRST and FAULTRES while monitoring the OEx pins to see if the device starts to work (NRST will reset the device and FAULTRES will tell the PGA411 to ignore faults while it is held low).

    Thanks,

    -Clancy
