Hi
The ADS124S06 datasheet only quotes typical voltage and temperature coefficient values for the internal temperature sensor. What are the limits?
Many thanks

Hi Chris,
Unfortunately we can't specify limits as there are a number of factors involved including the drift of the reference. From characterization we see an initial spread at 25 deg C that spans 4 degrees. There is also some variation in slope, so this would also affect the calculated temperature as it relates to the voltage measured across temperature.
Other factors also come into play. For example, the temperature the sensor is monitoring the temperature of the silicon die. Depending on package type, package size, thermal wicking, board temperature, air currents around the package, etc., the temperature might be quite different than you might expect. So the use of the temperature sensor for the ADS124S06 is primarily a monitor as opposed to an accurate sensor that might be required for cold junction compensation of a thermocouple.
Do you have a specific application in mind for the use of the temp sensor? There may be some other information and suggestions that we can provide.
Best regards,
Bob B
