ADS8678: VOL of DIGITAL OUTPUTS (CMOS)

Part Number: ADS8678
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ISO7141CC,

Dear Technical Support Team,

Do you have a data of sink current(Io) vs Vol level ?

Datasheet describes that  Vol = 0.2 × DVDD V when Io = 500-μA sink.

So if DVDD = 5V,  Vol = 1V on Io = 500-μA sink.

I'd like to use ISO7141CC and  its IIL(Low-level input current) is -10uA.

It means that Vol of ADS8678 is much lower than 1V when Io = 10-μA sink.

Iol of ISO7141CC is 0.8V , it doesn't accept 1V.

Best Regards,

ttd

  • Dear Technical Support Team,

Do you have any update about this?
If you don't have a data of sink current(Io) vs Vol level, I'd like to know Vol of ADS8678 when Io = 10-μA sink.

    Best Regards,
    ttd
  • I apologize for the late reply, but we are working on finding the most accurate answer to your question.

  • Hello,
The specification given in the datasheet is a worst case scenario; there should be no problem using the ISO7141CC.
When sinking 10uA the voltage will scale accordingly. If you are using DVDD=5V, then Vol = 1V, at 500uA, thus at 10uA, the Vol will be about 20mV.
We apologize this took longer than expected, please let me know if you are in need of more support.
    Regards
    Cynthia
