ADS1194: START and DRDY

Hi there,

I have my device in SDTAC mode with START high and is working fine, I need to stop receiving DRDY signals for a while and then re-enable it. For this I pull START low which stops the DRDY, but afterwards when I set START high again I don't receive any DRDY signals. Is this expected? I haven't changed the ADS settings in between , just cleared and set START.

Hello Arash,

This is not expected behavior. When START comes high the device should begin to send DRDY signals again. What occurs between the time the START pin is cleared and it is set again?

Hi Brian,

I do a short offline processing in the cpu, it doesn't touch ADS.

Hello Arash,

Something must unintentionally be changing between the time START comes low and then returns high. When this occurs, what are the states of the POWERDOWN and RESET pins, and what are the voltages of the VCAP pins with respect to AVSS? I am trying to determine the state of the device during this time.

In instead you always hold START low and issue STOP and START commands, does the same thing happen?

Thanks Brian. Seems RST is going low in between for some unknown reason.
