High speed ADC for high-speed/resolution control

Helo everyone,

I am very new to control and from mechanical engineering background but have to design a high speed ADC and interface with FPGA card R-series (7853R).

My specification is 16-18 bit resolution with above 1 MHz bandwidth. I just need ideas on some specific ADC chip that I can use.

I understand as of now that I also need an LVDS to TTL converters. what could be the best option to meet my specifications.

What could be the cheaper evaluation board that I can use to for interfacing?

I intend to use serial communication between the ADC chip and the R-series card.

I am actually reading a lot about this but maybe someone could have better understanding on what I am faced with.

Any clues or ideas will be highly appreciated.

Thank you in advance

Kind Regards,

Benvalet
