ADS1293: AC / DC Lead off

Part Number: ADS1293

Dear Sir

May I know what's the different advantage of lead off between AC and DC ??

Which lead off is common for design ?

Thanks

  • Hello Kai,

They each are used for separate scenarios. DC lead off can be used when the electrodes are DC coupled and typically have a strong physical connection to the patient. Usually I would say this method is best for wet electrodes. AC lead off can be used even if the electrodes are ac coupled and is also good for dry electrodes since in that case the electrode to body impedance is very capacitive.
