Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS54J60
Hi,
What is the input 1dBFS is for the ADS54J60 eval board. Is it around + 4 dBm? Is there documentation that describes the input parameters?
Thanks,
David

David,
ADC converts differential input voltage across analog inputs into equivalent digital codes. -1dBFS means 1.78Vpp signal present across analog input pins (i.e. INP-INM).
The dBm unit uses 1mW as reference power. This means if we connect 50 ohms termination across analog inputs of ADC, 10dBm power dissipation would cause 2Vpp signal. 4dBm power would cause 1Vpp signal –which ADC will report as -6dBFS.

Jim
