Hi all

Would you mind if we ask ADS1148?
Please refer to the attachment file.
And then, could you give us advice?

  • Hirotaka-san,

Just so that everyone can see the question without downloading the pdf, I'll put up a picture of the question:

The circuit shown can be constructed and used to control all of the ADS1148 devices. Digital lines for DIN, DOUT and SCLK can all be shared, while you need all /CS lines to be independent which is controlled through the mux. By using /CS to select each device, the ADS1148s can be configured individually and conversions can be started with the SYNC command.

However, powering down the ADS1148 with the SLEEP command may be difficult while controlling multiple devices. The SLEEP command requires that /CS remain low throughout the length of time the part is to remain asleep. When the /CS is brought back high, the device will wakeup automatically.

If devices need to be powered down individually while others are being controlled, the START pin is the best method to use for the sleep operation.
