DAC8760: SBAS528B no specify parameters for calculating the compensation capacitor between VOUT and CMP.

Part Number: DAC8760

Hello,

SBAS528B Pag.27 , 8.3.2 says: For loads greater than 20 nF, an external compensation capacitorcan beconnected between CMP and VOUT to keep the output
voltage stable at the expense of reduced bandwidth and increased settling time.

Was asked me to use the DAC8760 in more circuits at different frequencies: up to 50KHz , or 100Khz bandwidth  or more, so i need parameters or formulas for calculating the bandwidth but

Cant find data in about

Ty for your attention

  • Giuseppe,

In order to maybe avoid some iterations of questions, I would perhaps suggest that you define the following for each of your desired operating conditions:

    - Slew Rate / Settling Time
    - Loading Conditions (Resistive, Capacitive, Inductive)

From here we can simply provide for you the recommended compensation capacitor for each use case to reduce any effort required on your behalf and get you an answer quickly.
