ADS5294: About the minimum frequency limit for ADS5294

Hi,

I am design my acquisition board with ADS5294. In the datasheet of ADS5294, the ADC input sample rate must be bigger than 10 MSPS.

But I just need a 8 MSPS sample rate. Can I use a 8 Mhz oscillator for the ADC clock input? Why is there a minimum frequency limit for ADS5294?

Hi there,

The minimum frequency requirement in the ADS5294 datasheet is due to the internal PLL in the device.
While the device might work for input frequencies below 10MHz, it as not been tested at those frequencies and therefore, we cannot guarantee full functionality.
