Hi team
I used ADS1605(Delta sigma ADC).
to reduce TUE, I like to use Calibration to remode Offset and Gain errors.
May I get the calibration way documents ?
also, the Calibration way is same both for SAR ADC and Delta Sigma ADC ?
Hello Paul,
Gain and offset calibration methods for SAR and Delta-Sigma ADCs are very similar and usually not specific to a particular device. Offset Error is measured by applying a mid-scale dc input voltage and recording the ADC's output code. For ADCs that have a full-scale range of -VREF to +VREF, 0 V input (i.e. input-short) corresponds to mid-scale.
Gain Error is measured by taking a least two points: one at negative full-scale and another at positive full-scale. The difference in slope between the ideal ADC transfer function and the measured slope is your gain error.
