ADS1298 - what are the benefits of using bipolar power supply?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1298

I'm newbee ADS1298 and now starting to evaluate it in order to build inexpensive PC-based ECG monitor.

Can anybody explain me, what are the benefits (if any) of using bipolar power supply? I'm going to power my project from USB-port of PC, so I already have +5V unipolar power. Is it enough just to filter the noise and use unipolar low-noise LDO to provide the power for ADS1298 or should I use something like described in AppNote (i.e. charge-pump invertor etc.)?

Thanks :)
