TSW1406EVM: Query.

Hi,

I have a IQ data that I have generated on Matlab, I hoping to be able to send this data from a file to the TSW38J84EVM board which I have. So far the only way I have seen possible according to the user manual is using some sort of FPGA board with a FMC connector. I am wondering if the TSW1406EVM is compatible with the TSW38J84EVM.

If so is there an easy way to send the data from my PC to the TSW1406EVM board and then to the TSW38J84EVM board.

If not, is there any way I can send the data directly to the TSW38J84EVM board.

The TSW38J84EVM uses a JESD204B interface and would require a special board, such as the TSW14J56EVM from TI to provide data. The TSW1406EVM is LVDS based and will not work. Other options include Xilinx VC707 and ZC706 platforms and the Altera Arria 10 GX platform, all which support the JESD204B interface.

Thanks for the reply. If I have the xilinx zc707 board, what is involved in sending the data through the JESD204B interface. I have never used this and was wondering is there any source code or examples which I could use.

Do you mean ZC706? I am not sure if there is a ZC707. There is a VC707. Both boards will work. Go to the TSW14J10EVM product folder on the TI website and you can download information and source code that will allow you to interface these boards. You will need to purchase the TSW14J10EVM to do this. The User's Guide shows several examples of this interface.

Sorry Yes, I meant the ZC706 board. Also I meant if there is some code to set-up the ZC706 with the tsw38j84evm to send data.
