ADS1291: ADS1291

Part Number: ADS1291

I have a hardware issue in the board.  During power-up and system reset condition , the AVDD voltage   of the ADS1291 is around 2.3V.

Once the system is initialised ( a few seconds) the IC will have a normal supply voltage of 3V.

Will this condition damage the IC ?

As per the datasheet the IC requires a minimum of 2.7V.

  • Hello Raji,

Have you measured the current on AVDD? It could be that the power supply is failing rather than the ADS1291. Perhaps some other IC is drawing a lot of current. If you measure the AVDD current of ADS1291 and it is much higher than what is in the datasheet, then it is possible it could have been damaged. If it looks normal, then you should look at other part on the board to see if that one is drawing a lot of current.
