PGA450Q1EVM: the issue of OTP verification and DEVRAM write

Part Number: PGA450Q1EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PGA450-Q1, PGA460-Q1

I would like to confirm the reason of the errors for OTP and DEVRAM.

We set the below conditions;

- R2 : installed (chacked 8V at VP_OTP)
- GUI: 1.50.1
- Firmware: 2.1.1

But these errors occured. Please see the attached picture.

Could you please teach the reason of the error?

Best regards,

Atsushi Yamauchi

  • Hi Yamauchi-san,
    The PGA450-Q1 installed on the PGA450Q1EVM is already OTP programmed to jump to DEVRAM, so you cannot re-program the OTP memory. If you populate a new/pristine PGA450-Q1 onto the EVM, you can then reprogram the OTP memory. Before you do that, why are you wanting to reprogram the OTP memory? Can you not use the DEVRAM for your development purposes?

    Also, TI has released the PGA460-Q1, which is our next-gen USSC device. I recommend that you use the PGA460-Q1 instead, since the PGA460-Q1 has a better driver and AFE performance.
