ADS1258EVM-PDK: NI-VISA USB Device Driver Installation

Hi I am having trouble getting started with the ads1258evm-pdk. I followed the instructions here but when I get to step 8.5.1 the device driver does not automatically begin to install . Are there any suggestions to fix this problem?

Welcome to the TI E2E Forums!

For my reference, which version of Windows are you using?

We've found that the USB driver for our MMB0-based EVMs does not always install correctly with the ADCPro plugin installation. Most of the time re-installing this driver from the stand-alone driver installer will resolve the problem. You can find this installer at ftp://ftp.ti.com/pub/data_acquisition/ADCPro2/misc/drivers/64bit/mmb0_driver_install_x64-v1.0.0.0.msi (NOTE: You'll need to cut and paste this URL since E2E does not correctly link to FTP URLs)

On Windows 10, you many need to try two additional things...
1) Disable driver signature enforcement before trying to install this driver since it is not a signed driver. See: www.drivethelife.com/.../how-to-disable-driver-signature-enforcement-on-windows-10-8-7-xp-vista.html

2) If that doesn't work, then you many need to try updating the NI-VISA driver, found here: www.ni.com/.../

Hi,

I think the first step helped me get the driver installed but now on the adcPro software I have an EVM plug in for ADS1158EVM instead of ADS1258EVM PDK. I am unsure how to load an EVM that doesnt not already show on the menu?

On the instruction manual it says to load this file "ads1258evm-pdk-plug-in-1.0.0.exe" as a plug in but it does not tell you where to locate the file
