ADS8638: Sampling at CS falling edge

Hi,

In the datasheet, sampling starts at CS falling edge.

At auto-mode, If CS is continuously low without power down command in DIN and 1 data frame is passed, does ADS8638 not work?

or ADS8638 is continuously sampling and Dout is sending data?

Or

Without CS falling edge, Can ADS8638 be sampling continuously?

    Hello David,

    I will need to test this out with hardware to confirm my answer, this will take a few days.
    But I strongly believe that the device will show the same data (over and over) if CS is held low and the correct SCLk pulses are given, until a new CS falling edge. Thus your first image would be correct and all the data out would be repeated.

    As for your last question: "Without CS falling edge, Can ADS8638 be sampling continuously?"
    There will be no new conversations without CS falling edge.
